"Worth it for our team"
hudl isn’t exactly cheap, and I’ll admit I wasn’t thrilled about the cost at first. But after using it all season, I’m actually happy with it. Having video sharing, highlights, and stats all in one spot has saved us a ton of time, and it just makes everything feel way less stressful. For what our team gets out of it, the price feels fair...

"Support actually came through fast"
Our team videos wouldn’t load right before a game weekend, which felt like the worst possible timing even though I guess it could’ve been worse. I sent a message thinking nobody would probably answer until Monday, but they got back to me quickly and helped me figure it out. It was fixed the same day, and the support person was really patient even when I was asking basic questions. that kind of made the whole issue not that annoying, if that makes sense.

"Pretty smooth once it was set up"
We hooked our camera and scoreboard into hudl and, i was a little skeptical it would all work without turning into some huge tech headache. There was a bit of setup at the beginning, but once we got through that, the clips and stats started coming through just fine. I’m still the type to double-check everything on game night, but it’s definitely made things a lot less messy for us.

"Great idea, but the stream hasn’t been reliable for us"
I started using Hudl this season so I could keep up with my kid’s games on the nights I couldn’t get there in person. At first, I was excited to have that option, but after a few weeks of trying to watch games, the livestream quality has been frustrating. Some nights it freezes over and over, and other times the picture gets so blurry I can’t tell who has the ball. The audio has been hit or miss too. I know school gyms don’t always have the best wifi, so I don’t expect it to be perfect every single time, but for what teams are paying, I do think it should be more dependable. It’s not totally useless, but right now I wouldn’t call it reliable either.

"Helpful, but not perfect"
The messages are definitely helpful overall, but every now and then something still gets missed. Not a huge deal, but it can be a little frustrating when you assume everything was covered and then realize later it wasn’t.

"good camera overall"
the camera works well overall. i’ve been happy with the quality, but it can be a little slow sometimes when i’m using it indoors.
"I uploaded my clips and sent…"
I uploaded my clips and sent out the links, but the whole time I couldn't really tell if any college coaches had actually viewed them. That was the most frustrating part for me. I kept checking little things like whether the link looked right, if the video loaded properly, and if there was any kind of clear view activity, but the visibility just felt really weak. I reached out to support hoping they could explain what was happening, but I still didn’t feel like I got a clear answer. It wasn’t a terrible setup, but for something this important, I wanted more certainty than just sending clips into the void

"Onboarding was shockingly easy and the training saved us"
We started using hudl a few weeks ago, i was bracing myself for a whole tech nightmare. But the onboarding was so smooth I almost didn’t know what to do with myself. It was way easier than I expected.
The training sessions were a huge relief, especially for the folks on our team who aren’t exactly tech wizards. Everything was explained in normal, human language, and nobody made us feel rushed or clueless, which I appreciated more than I can even say.
We had a couple small questions afterward, and support got back to us really quickly. Overall, getting set up felt about a thousand times less stressful than I thought it would, and I’m genuinely so glad it didn’t turn into the disaster I had imagined.
"Feels organized and private enough"
I’ve been using hudl with our team for a while, and one thing I’ve noticed is the setup feels consistent in a good way. The login process, sharing videos, and controlling who can see what all follow a clear pattern, so I never feel like our stuff is just floating around for anyone to find. I’m not going to pretend I’ve read every single policy detail, but based on how it works day to day, it feels like our data is being handled properly. No concerns from me so far.
"Pretty solid overall, right?"
It has most of the features we need, which is great, but there are still a few small gaps that I wish were covered. Overall, I think it’s solid, but I’m wondering if others have noticed the same little missing pieces

"Easy way to spot preventable issues"
I like that the stats are easy to check at a glance. It helps us quickly see what needs fixing, especially when something is clearly preventable and we can take care of it before it becomes a bigger problem.

"It does what it’s supposed to do…"
It does what it’s supposed to do, so I can’t really complain too much. But it feels a bit slow, and that makes using it kind of frustrating at times. When something takes longer than I expect, I start feeling like it’s wasting my time, even if it technically works.

"Most of the time the uploads work…"
Most of the time the uploads work fine, and I don’t really have much to complain about. That said, every now and then it randomly hiccups or takes longer than expected, which is a bit annoying. So yeah, it’s reliable overall, but also not totally reliable, if that makes sense.

The clips load fast, and the quality is good. Overall, I’ve had a solid experience with it
"Super helpful for coach feedback"
Hudl has been really handy for our team. Our coaches can leave notes and clips for players easily, and it definitely saves us a lot of time after games. It’s not perfect every single time, but that’s probably true of most tools like this. Overall, it’s been a really useful part of how we review and give feedback.

"Setup was more frustrating than I expected"
From what I remember, getting my account set up was a bit of a hassle. The confirmation email took a really long time to show up, and even after that, my login kept failing. I also recall support being slow to respond, so the whole thing ended up feeling more frustrating than it should have

"Not much recruiting help for us"
hudl was fine for storing and sharing clips, but it really didn’t do much for my son in terms of recruiting exposure. We were hoping coaches might actually find him through the platform, but we still ended up having to email everyone ourselves and do most of the work outside of hudl. For what it costs, I expected a lot more support or visibility. When I reached out about it, it kind of felt like support put it back on us, like we weren’t using it the right way, which was frustrating. Overall, it’s okay for video, but I wouldn’t count on it to help much with recruiting...

"Pretty easy, even if it felt a little confusing at first"
Hudl was simple to figure out for the most part. I’ll admit I was a little confused at first, but somehow it still didn’t take me long at all to get the hang of it. Uploading clips and watching them back is easy, and even though I expected it to be more complicated, it ended up being straightforward.

"Pretty easy update overall"
I had to update our Hudl subscription, it was straightforward. I wasn’t totally sure at first if I’d have to dig around for the billing info, but it was easy enough to find. The steps made sense, and everything seemed to save right away. So far, no complaints from me.

"I had a login issue right before we…"
I had a login issue right before we needed to upload our game, which was a little stressful. Support got back to me quickly and, as far as I can tell, had it fixed later that same day. It ended up being way less painful than I expected. Thanks, Hudl.
